First I just want to give thanks to God the Father, Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit- the given comforter to His people. FOR IN HIM WE LIVE AND MOVE AND HAVE OUR BEING.
Are You Ready to Meet Your Maker? There’s a great Day coming but its brightness shall only come to them that love the Lord. FORGET about what has happened before. Do not think about the past. Instead, LOOK at the New things God Is going to do in your life. Rejoice and be glad always.
There’s a sad day coming too when the sinner shall hear his doom, “depart, I know you not” Are you Ready? Are You Ready? Are you ready for the judgment day?
If We Meet and Forget Me, you Have Lost Nothing; But if you Meet Jesus and forget Him YOU LOST EVERYTHING.
Fellow brethren, there have been hundreds of great days recorded all throughout the Word of God, but the day that is swiftly approaching will be the greatest of them all is the coming of Jesus.
What does the future hold? The only way to wait for SECOND COMING (Christ return) is to watch that you do what you should do, so that when He comes it is a matter of indifference.- Oswald Chambers
“Truly, these times of Ignorance God overlooked, but Now Commands All Men Everywhere to Repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will Judge the World in Righteousness by the Man whom He has Ordained. He has given Assurance of this to all by Raising Him From the Dead.” Acts 17:30-31
Hebrews 9:27 - “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.”
ILLUSTRATION:
Father talking to his grandson. He asked him when he was going to graduate from high school. He said this spring dad.
The father asked “What are you going to do then?” The son said, “Dad, I want to go to college but please pay my tuition.”
The father asked what then. He said, “I want to become a doctor.
The father asked “What then?” He said, well I will have to complete my residency.
The Father asked, “What then?” “We’ll I guess I will begin my internship practice.”
The father asked, “What then?” The son said, “Well I guess I will settle down, get married, and have a family.”
The father again asked, “What then?” Well, I suppose I will live, grow old, and die.
The father again asked, “What then?” Well, I suppose that I will go meet my God.”
The father said, “Well I was wondering son when you were going to fit Him in your schedule of your life.”- NO TIME FOR HIM- NO TIME TO PRAY;;;;There’s a great day coming son.
What we decide with Jesus Christ today, will determine what, one day, He will do with us.
That time is coming to an end and there is a great day coming.
We Are Living In The EXPECTANCY of Christ Return, A Great Day....
1. The Greatest Plan Be Revealed.
A. Jesus Comes With the Trumpet. 1Thes. 4:16 For the Lord Himself will Descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the Dead in Christ Will “Rise First”.
1 Cor. 15:52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the Last Trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised Incorruptible, and We shall be Changed.
Last trumpet: Revelation 11:15 (ESV) A trumpet is sounded in
15 Then the seventh angel blew his trumpet, and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ, and he shall reign forever and ever.
The importance of this is due to the timing of the rapture. Those who believe all three of these passages refer to the same trumpet hold to a mid-tribulation rapture, meaning the belief that Jesus will come for His followers at the three and a half year point of the seven-year tribulation.
Those who believe Revelation 11:15 refers to a different trumpet than the other two passages hold to a pretribulation rapture, meaning Christ will come for His followers before the tribulation begins.
B. He Shall Come With His Angels. 31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he Will Sit on his Glorious Throne Mat. 25:31
2 Thess. 1:7-9 and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, in flaming fire taking Vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not Obey the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. These shall be Punished with Everlasting Destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power.
7 Look, he is coming on the clouds! Everyone will see him, including those who pierced him. All peoples on earth will mourn over him. So shall it be! Rev. 1:7
II. The Greatest Resurrection Will Come to A Reality.
A. All Dead Bodies Will Be Raised. 15 and I have the same hope in God as these men themselves have, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked. Acts 24:15
John 5:28-29 "Do not marvel at this; for the hour is coming in which all who are in the graves will hear His voice "and come forth-- those who have Done Good, to the resurrection of life, and those who have Done Evil, to the Resurrection of Condemnation.
B. When Jesus Return. 17 After that, We Who Are Still Alive and are Left will be Caught Up together with them in the clouds to Meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord Forever. 1 Thess. 4:15-18
44 People Cannot Come to Me Unless the Father who sent me Draws Them To Me; and I Will Raise them to Life on the Last Day. John 6:44
C. We Are In The Last Age.
Hebrews 9:26-28
He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. And as it is appointed for men to Die Once, but after this the Judgment, so Christ Was Offered Once to bear the sins of many.
To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for Salvation.
III. The Greatest Judge Will Preside. Acts 10:42 "And He Commanded us to Preach to the People, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the Living and the Dead.
John 12:48 "He Who Rejects Me, and does not receive My Words, has that which Judges him-- the word that I have spoken will Judge Him In the Last Day.
IV. The Greatest Books Will Be Opened.
The Great White throne.
15 Those who did not have their name written in the book of the living were thrown into the lake of fire. Rev. 20:15
12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened, which is the book of life. The dead were judged according to what they had done as recorded in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead that were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them, and each person was judged according to what they had done. Rev. 20:12-13
4 God did not spare the angels who sinned, but threw them into hell, where they are kept chained in darkness,[a] waiting for the Day of Judgment. 2 Peter 2:4
6 Remember the angels who did not stay within the limits of their proper authority, but abandoned their own dwelling place: they are bound with eternal chains in the darkness below, where God is keeping them for that great Day on which they will be condemned. Jude 6
2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to What he has Done, whether Good or Bad.
Remember: Everyone Receive Justice, Not Mercy on That Day. The time to Obtain Mercy and Forgiveness Is Now, --Not that Day.
The Great Day Will Be the Last Day of This Last Age.
We are living in the EXPECTANCY of Christ return, a great day
"If a person is ashamed of me and my message, I, the Son of Man, will be ashamed of that person when I return in my glory and in the glory of the Father and the holy angels." Luke 9:26
