Introduction:

Peace is possible to Anyone- In this world we experience STRESS, ANXIETY, GRIEF, CONFLICT, WORRY, UNLOVE, DEPRESSION and being despair--Pain nor AGONY that causes us to cry out for peace.

The critical hardship that we are in majority THEIR QUESTION where to find and how to experience true, lasting peace-Peace with God, Peace with Each Other, and Peace with Ourselves!

WHO DOESN’T LONG FOR PEACE-REAL PEACE? EVERYONE.

A peace where our Souls are Being Calm IN THE BEAUTY OF GOD HOLINESS. This peace is AVAILABLE and free to be given to any. Do you believe it?

We are going to allow apostle Paul To say it in our midst: Romans 5:1“Therefore, having been justified by faith, We Have Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” NKJV This peace is the answer to our struggle with others, with ourselves, and with God.

Paul has emphasized the only way of salvation is to be justified by grace, through faith. -the word Justified mean DECLARED or made righteous in the sight of God.

This does not refer to the feeling of inner peace, but rather to the objective fact of peace. People may feel at peace with God when in fact they are in danger of His judgment (Jer. 6:14). Genuine peace with God means that we are truly reconciled with Him. We are no longer enemies with God, but friends with Him. We do not need to fear His judgment.

They have also healed the hurt of My people slightly, Saying, ‘Peace, Peace!’ When There Is No Peace. Jer. 6:14

Romans 5:1
“Therefore, Having Been Justified By Faith, We Have Peace

JUSTIFIED- declared or made righteous in the sight of God.

If you are Depressed, you are living in the Past. If you are Anxious, you are living in the Future. If You are in Peace, You Are Living at the Presence. Lao Tzu

I. The Necessity for A Real Peace.

A. Justification by Faith Gives Us Peace with God.

Because of the universality of sin, the human race is by nature at war against God. Many may feel at peace because they do not comprehend God’s absolute holiness or their own sinfulness. But because of sin,

John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

As Paul wrote (Rom. 1:18), “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.”

B. TO HAVE PEACE WITH GOD, YOU MUST BE JUSTIFIED BY FAITH

“The Way of Peace Have they Not Known,” the apostle Paul says concerning the human race Romans 3:17. As we look around, we find that there is little personal, domestic, social, economic, or political peace anywhere. Why? Because we all have the seeds of suspicion and violence, of hatred and destruction within us and sometimes happen inside the church. My friend, always remember others are always better than US.

A. Man’s Is Totally Separated From God. 9 What then? Are we better than they? Not at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they are all under sin. 10 As it is written:“ There is None Righteous, No, Not (EVEN) One. Rom. 3:9-10 NKJV

Peace can be experienced only when we have received divine pardon - when we have been reconciled to God and when we have harmony within, with our fellow man and especially with God. “There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked” Isaiah 57:21.

But through the blood of the Cross, Christ has made peace with God for us and is Himself our peace. If by faith we accept Him, we are justified by God and can realize the inner serenity that can come to man through no other means. When Christ enters our hearts, we are freed of that haunting sense of sin. Cleansed of all feeling of contamination and unfitness, we can lift up our heads secure in the knowledge that we can look with confidence into the face of our fellow men.

Romans 3:23 for all have Sinned and Fall Short of the Glory of God,” NKJV

Isaiah 59:1-2 “Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.” NKJV

B. God Is Merciful and Just God. Question: "How do God’s mercy and justice work together in salvation?

Answer: God’s justice and mercy are seemingly incompatible. After all, justice involves the dispensing of deserved punishment for wrongdoing, and mercy is all about pardon and compassion for an offender. However, these two attributes of God do in fact form a unity within His character.

The Bible contains many references to God’s mercy. Over 290 verses in the Old Testament and 70 in the New Testament contain direct statements of the mercy of God toward His people.

God was merciful to the Ninevites who repented at the preaching of Jonah, who described God as “a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger and abounding in love, a God who relents from sending calamity” Jonah 4:2

David said God is “gracious and merciful; Slow to anger and great in loving-kindness. The LORD is good to all, and His mercies are over all His works” Psalm 145:8-9, NASB

22 Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe toward those who disobeyed, but kind to you if you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off. Romans 11:22 NLT.

5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all, 1 John 1:5

C. God Can’t tolerate Sin. Romans 1:18“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,” NKJV Sin must be punished.

II. The Real Source of Peace. Without acknowledging that we are sinner we will never be in peace.

1 Pet. 3:9 Do not pay back evil with evil or cursing with cursing; instead, pay back with a blessing, because a blessing is what God promised to give you when he called you.

A. God’s Demands Justice and Sin Be Punish.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. Rom. 1:18

5 But you have a hard and stubborn heart, and so you are making your own punishment even greater on the Day when God's anger and righteous judgments will be revealed. Rom. 2:5

8 Other people are selfish and reject what is right, in order to follow what is wrong; on them God will pour out his anger and fury. Rom. 2:8

8 but to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness-indignation and wrath. Rom. 2:8

B. He Himself the God of Peace. 33 May God, our source of peace, be with all of you. Amen. Rom. 15:33

Even though we, because of sin, deserved His anger, He made a way for us to be saved. This way was the way of the cross.

14 For Christ himself has brought us peace by making Jews and Gentiles one people. With his own body he broke down the wall that separated them and kept them enemies. 15 He abolished the Jewish Law with its commandments and rules, in order to create out of the two races one new people in union with himself, in this way making peace. 16 By his death on the cross Christ destroyed their enmity; by means of the cross he united both races into one body and brought them back to God. 17 So Christ came and preached the Good News of peace to all-to you Gentiles, who were far away from God, and to the Jews, who were near to him. 18 It is through Christ that all of us, Jews and Gentiles, are able to come in the one Spirit into the presence of the Father. Eph. 2:14-18

C. This Peace is the Result of Being Justified. This word means we are acquitted, pronounced “not guilty.”

Note the words of Paul in Acts 13:38-39. 38-39 All of you, my fellow Israelites, are to know for sure that it is through Jesus that the message about forgiveness of sins is preached to you; you are to know that everyone who believes in him is set free from all the sins from which the Law of Moses could not set you free.

Even though we have sinned and deserve the penalty for it, Christ paid the penalty for us.

(Romans 5:10) “For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” NKJV

Conclusion:

Text: Romans 5:1“Therefore, having been justified by faith, We Have Peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,” NKJV This peace is the answer to our struggle with others, with ourselves, and with God.

Jesus brought the peace on us in the Cross..reconciled us to God and have peace till eternity.

The Availability for Peace “Is Possible.”

Therefore God saves us “by grace through faith” at Your baptism. Then You receive Peace.
