First of all I just want to express my humble thanks to God, for His amazing love.

Family has been best defined as "the institute of the affections." In its ideal state it is the home of love.

It is the place of all others in which the affectionate side of human nature receives its strongest impulse, its freest, fullest development.

While the family is first in order of time, having in embryo all the after fruits of civilization, being at the beginning of things, it held also within its limits both Church and State in their primitive condition. "The home is the first Church, and the home is the first State." Historically and germinally there has sprung from the family all that is best in human history, all that we most admire in human life is the person live a home.

The Difference between Home and House

A house is defined as a building or structure, whose main purpose is to be by humans. On the other hand, a home is the place of residence or refuge.

Have you ever heard the phrase, “home is where the heart is”? Well that’s exactly the definition of a home. A house is simply a structure.

It takes hands to build a HOUSE but only HEARTS can build a Home

Mother Theresa: who won the Nobel Peace Prize several years ago, was asked what she would say to the world to promote peace. ”Go home and love your family."

I. First God Design A Home. Imagine, the architect the life sustainer God, design family look like live in the home. But before else, the story begun on the time of the first man in the Bible Adam.

A. Companionship. Gen 2:18 GNT

18 Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable Companion to help him.”( Right or appropriate)

She is a wonderful gift of God that is made out of man and is given back to Him.

B. Woman & Man Are Perfect Match. Gen. 2:7, 21-25 NKJV

7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being.

21 And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall on Adam, and he slept; and He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh in its place. 22 Then the rib which the Lord God had taken from man He made into a woman, and He brought her to the man.

23 And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man.”

24 Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.

Families are close to God’s heart. In fact, they were His idea in the first place. From the beginning, when God created man, He said, “It is not good for man to be alone,” so He created woman as a “help-meet, suitable for him” (Genesis 2:18).

Then, He blessed them and told them, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish [fill] the earth” (Genesis 1:28). Even after they fell into sin, God continued with His plan for families, and even spoke prophetically of the salvation that would come through the seed of the woman (Genesis 3:15).

Later, after the Flood, He reiterated His plan to Noah and his sons, “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth” (Genesis 9:1). God continued His plan when He chose Abraham and miraculously gave him a son in his old age (Genesis 21). And so it goes, all the way down to the “fullness of time, when He sent forth His Son” (Galatians 4:4) to be born in human flesh, to live and to die for the people He Himself had created.

Throughout the ages, God’s plan and desire has always been for parents to raise up their children to know and love Him and walk in His ways. In Deuteronomy 6:6, God told the Israelites to keep His commands in their hearts and to teach them diligently unto their children, talking of them throughout the day in every circumstance of life.

Many families today are in deep trouble because they have not been “diligently teaching” their children. Instead, they have left it to the schools, media, museums, national parks, and others to do the job.

II. God Design The Marriage To Be Permanent. Mt. 19:4-9

4 And He answered and said to them, “Have you not read that He who made[a] them at the beginning ‘made them male and female,’ 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? 6 So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate.”

7 They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?”

8 He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. 9 And I say to you, whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery; and whoever marries her who is divorced commits adultery.”

Rom. 7:1-4

Do you not know, brothers and sisters-for I am speaking to those who know the law-that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives? 2 For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him.

Noah’s Family.

“And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.” Genesis 7:7

First, they were a complete family.
Second, they overcame a great crisis together as a family.
Third, they stayed together as a family.
Fourth, they were united in doing God’s work as a family.
Fifth, they were just like any other family we have today, imperfect yet with great possibilities.

We Must Place God First in the life of Our Family. Gen. 6:8

Following God’s plan makes the home a haven that helps us & glorifies God

It takes the whole family to make a happy family.  Do your part.   The happiness of your family is in your hands (MAN).  May the Lord grant you happiness as you live together as a Family!
