A little boy Prayed after Church.

“Dear God,
Thank you for letting us go to church today.
I had a good class. I liked to sing when we the whole church sings.
It was so much fun.
I wish Lord, you had been there. Amen.”

Mother: “Oh, honey, what makes you think God wasn’t there today?”
Boy: “Nobody looked like they thought God was there!”
Mother: “Son, God is always with us when we go to worship Him.”
Boy: “If God was there, why wasn’t everybody excited about Him being there?” why is too noisy, why WHY Mom?
Mother: “Good question!” What Would Our Little One’s Watching you

Say To God This Morning About Worship?

Think God Is here? See Excitement, and See Enthusiasm.

Good morning. Greetings

Every individual and especially every Christian should be glorifying God.

What Is the most important thing in life? To earn a living, to get save and go to heaven? I BELIEVE THE ANSWER IS TO GIVE GLORY AND PRAISE IN HIS NAME.

A. What is glory? “Honor”, “praise” brightness of heavenly realm, Majesty, awesomeness. The Hebrew word kabod (K-B-D) originally means "weight" or "heaviness." PRAISE- to bestow approval upon, to honour, to worship, to glorify commendation.

  • To glorify God is to “magnify, praise, ascribe honor, to acknowledge God as to His being, attributes and acts.”

Moses, after God saved Israel from Egypt.

Exodus 15:1-2 Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the LORD, and spoke, saying: "I will sing to the LORD, for He has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea! The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation; he is my God, and I will praise Him; my father's God, and I will exalt Him.

Today. I would like to ask and answer two questions regarding glorifying God.

What do you think: Why should we glorify God?

How can we glorify God?

I. WHY SHOULD WE GLORIFY GOD?

1. First of all because He is God! We should glorify God in body and spirit because Christ redeemed us at Calvary.

He paid the price of His glory. His glory is so great that the city of God has no need of the sun or the moon, but the Lamb is the light. He laid aside that glory and died in shame.

He paid the price of His grace-- I Peter 2:24. “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”

2. Secondly, because we are commanded to glorify Him.

1 Cor 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Isa 43:5-7 Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west; I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' And to the south, 'Do not keep them back!' Bring My sons from afar, and My daughters from the ends of the earth--Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.

II. HOW CAN WE GLORIFY GOD?

A. By Whatever We Do.

1 Cor 10:31 Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

God alone is to be glorified. (Ps.115:1-3). “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your name give glory because of Your lovingkindness, because of Your truth [or, faithfulness]. Why should the nations say, ‘Where, now, is their God?’ But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases.”

This means by our words and our deeds.

Col 3:17 And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord

How Can We Glorify God?

  • By Our Words
Speech : Eph. 4:29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.
  • By Our Deeds. Body-
19 Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, 20 for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body.

John 4:24 For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

Conclusion:

TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

Let’s strive to glorify God in all that we do.
